Bend Development Program

FastSHAPES® is the generic name for a suite of Plate & Sheet development software programs specifically designed for heavy fabrication where the main jointing technology is welding.

The BEND software module is for the development and layout of Complex Gored or Transforming Bends (e.g. chutes, ducts) in sheet and plate and includes transitions. i.e.Square to round, Square to Square and rectangular.

Fabricated metal shapes used in Bulk Materials Handling - chutes
Fluids Conveying - transitions and transformers.
'Industrial strength' structures, thick plate.

Provides a multi-gored bend between two ducts.
Ducts may have different shaped cross-sections.
Shapes are 'rectircles', i.e. round cornered rectangles.
Rectircle describes rectangular, circular, & obround shape development.
From 2 to 10 gores permitted.
Bend angle from 1 degree to 180 degrees.
Collars optional, integral when possible (prismatic bend)
Bend radius on inside, outside or centreline of bend.
Up to 8 longitudinal seams per gore.
Uses Triangulation development method to create patterns of conical and transition shapes (as standard).
Also 'SupaFastNest' & radial line development when possible.
